Project Freetime

Hey guys, it's me, Jonathan (Coop), sometimes attendee at TAG. I'm putting together a little project and looking for contributors. I know, I know... who has the time? But I welcome you to read about it, and see what you think. It's going to be a collection of short stories / artwork in the style of Flight or Apple. While I was conducting a critique in my Thursday night portfolio course at DigiPen, my students were carrying on a real-time play-by-play of sorts via Facebook. Guess who found out about it when he logged in the next morning? SPOILER ALERT: I did.

Doin some creatures

Bobby Chui' sbeen doing these live streaming 1 hour paintings on Wed 2pm.http://www.sketchoholic.com/index.php  Pretty fun, gives an idea to paint in the hour, upload it, have fun.  These were Reptile/ Mammal and 3 eyes 6 legs.

Friend looking for work

My buddy Scott Benefeil was part of a big layoff at High Moon.  He's a very talented concept/storyboard/comicbook artist.  If anyone knows of some work out there that can use a strong, talented and super experienced artist, this is the guy to look at.

More Sad

Hey everyone, I, too, will not be able to attend tonight, and like Vinod will be absent next month as well due to Gen Con. Do any other TAG artists show at Gen Con Indy?

I haven't done much work that I am able to share publicly lately, so just to spruce up this post with some art, here are some sketch cards I did for charity recently. They will become part of randomized sets that are being sold at the Chicagoland Entertainment Collector's Expo to raise money for The Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. (Man, both of those names are a mouthful!)

The two bottom cards of the girls with raptors are characters of my own creation; the characters at the top from left to right are Morrigan from Darkstalkers, Guts (and Puck!) from Berserk, and Felicia from Darkstalkers.

Sad for Tuesday

Hey all,
Unfortunately I can't make it to this months TAG tomorrow! Sorry.
Eh, what the hell, I'll just pile on some more bad news, I also can't make it to next months either! Next month I'll be at Gen Con in Indianapolis sharing a table with Emily. When we used to live in WI it wasn't that bad of a drive, but this year we'll be flying so there's a lot more to prepare since we can't just toss it all in the car.

I'll be sure to post more random stuff this month and next month so it'll be like I'm there... but in digital form! Ooooooh cyberpunk!
