Facebook Waits For No Man

While I was conducting a critique in my Thursday night portfolio course at DigiPen, my students were carrying on a real-time play-by-play of sorts via Facebook. Guess who found out about it when he logged in the next morning? SPOILER ALERT: I did.

Click here to read what I had to say and to find out how this guy fits into the whole thing:

Godzilla!

I was, at first, only going to email this link to Rick but then thought to myself, "Why not share the love?"

You can watch fourteen (count 'em ... FOURTEEN!) free Godzilla movies on this here site right here!

And, no, I did not make this AWESOME image. But I think I'm going to start drawing a Godzilla right now! Who's with me?

"You're gonna buy this glider rocker, see?"

So last night we had randomly generated "inspiration" topics to choose from, and I went with "Sojourn Amish Crime Boss." This is what I came up with:

As Rick pointed out, there's probably more Hasidic Jew than Amish in this dude - and maybe even be a little Lee Van Cleef - but since he's holding a knife I'm not going to say anything about it.

Our man Brett Bean was at TAG last night! He told us about the "two-animal mash-up" game he plays whenever he's stuck for an idea on what to draw, and then showed us the sketch for his excellently abombinable Great White Gark. It inspired me, but the version I drew last night was poop. I took another shot at it this morning:

What's that you say? It looks like I put a giraffe and a shark into the transporter from the 1986 re-make of "The Fly" starring Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis? Why, thank you! Thank you very much!

Mouthbreather

He could breathe through his nose if he really wanted to. But he doesn't want to.

Cat Faces

I doodled these during a meeting the other day, then played with them a little in Photoshop. Who needs appendages, anyway?

The Conversation

I sketched this with a Sharpie this morning. I'm a little light-headed.
