@TAGnorth

I've created a Twitter profile for TAG... It's called @TAGnorth but I consider it something that both the original TAG group as well as our group up here could enjoy getting info from.  If you follow it, then I will follow you and retweet stuff that might be of interest to all.  Check it out!

Starfall WIP

Here's some process work from a personal project I'm working on. It will eventually be a 2d sidescroller in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

Beorn the Giant

Fan art of the shapeshifting giant from the Hobbit. Surprisingly, there isn't much art done of him. There's some Hilderbrant bros. paintings and and a John Howe piece but that's all I could easily find.

Beorn instantly became my favorite character after reading the Hobbit this year so I was compelled to to do some fanart! I kinda made him a little less human, like he's already half bear in his giant form.

Enjoy!

(and yes I only read the Hobbit this year. Stop with your nerd judging, I had foreign born parents. They didn't' know/care about stodgy Englishmen that liked to write about hairy dwarves and sexy elves)

Kabam is Hiring

Click on the title for the link...  It looks like they need a variety of folks... Lead Artist, 2D artist, UI artist, Game Writer, Production Managers.  It appears that they have offices in SF and Redwood Shores (By Redwood City in the Bay Area... not far from where I lived about 3 years ago).

It looks like this company is trying to bridge the gap between Hard Core games and Social games, throwing some MMO elements in for good measure.  This might be a pretty good bet... Zynga's move into the Hard Core-ish game field, Empires and Allies, is doing pretty well on Facebook.

I would, of course, hate to see any TAG members leave the Seattle area, but I know there are folks who are looking for work and I wouldn't want them to miss out on an opportunity.

Americas Fighting Dinosaur

Hey gang. I wanted to hare a project i've been working on. And to show this isn't just shameless self promotion, there is a TAG connection. I've been working on a short film project about a T-Rex that fights in World War 2, probably with some photo and video manipulation and some expert interviews. I did quite a few sketches of my main character at TAG, which are nothing to write home about, but I was pleased with the results once they were modeled in 3D. Enjoy!

You can see more at http://americasfightingdinosaur.blogspot.com/
Thanks!
