Call for Entries for a TAG Comic Book!

Okay, I'm going to officially kick this off... who wants in on a TAG anthology comic book?  I figure if we start now and we get 10-15 artists to contribute we can print up loads of copies and have them to sell/trade by the 2013 convention season.  Specifically, I would want to target the book being done for ECCC 2013.

At this point I'm just interested in a show of hands... who's with me?

I've reset the date on this post so that it would stay sticky and on the top of the blog for a bit.  If we get enough interest I'll probably start a new blog just for the comic book.

I would do it. I am working on a short story comic right now, but what are we looking for for submissions? Are they themed?

oh that's me

I should think that the book would not have a theme other than a group of creators printing something cool together, with each contributor making using their own unique voice.

Hey Rick,

When you say "comic book" do you mean only sequential art, or would the book be a collection of all sorts of art from TAG members? I don't really have any experience with sequential storytelling, but I'd be interested in contributing some drawings or paintings as long as any type of submission is welcomed.

I would love to be involved.

Emily, we have at least one other contributor who is interested in just posting some sketches, so I think that would to totally cool. Any artwork of yours would be completely welcome!

Here's some comic page templates:

There's one appears to be meant as a penciling page, and the other 2 high res pages look to be for inking left and right facing pages.

If making a comic isn't a requirement I'd absolutely love to jump on this!
Not that I'm against considering a comic, I just never have the free time ;)

I suspect that a theme will emerge out of the entries we get... perhaps we'll call the book "The Big Book of TAG Drawings and Comics"

I should say this now: I think that what ever is contributed to this book should not have been printed before somewhere else. I think stuff that been posted on the internet before is okay, but this should be the first place that this work will be seen in a printed form.

I agree with some of the others: Don't have a lot of experience with sequential art (or the time to do a project like that), but I'd love to contribute illustrations and whatnot. Sounds like a cool idea!

I would totally be up for this! I've been working on other people's comics for a while, so this would be a nice outlet.

I Have a few short stories that may be availible. I also have a story I did in storyboard format that could be 25 or12 pages.
