First TAG post
Hey all,
I had a great time at the TAG drawing group. I'm glad Cory and Mike Monroe let me know about it. Also thanks to Rick for inviting me to the blog. Here's some sketches from that night.
I have a barebones sketch of the week section on my website. I've been doing it for the past 3years. I'll probably turn it into a blog at some point but it's just a gallery now.
Looking forward to next months event!

I've been checking out the site Urban Sketchers a lot recently. It was started by a Seattle Times artist and is totally devoted to location drawing with tons of uploads from people all over the world everyday.

Nagel Series 33 free Photoshop brushes
Click in the headline to go to a website with the download and instructions for Nagel Series 33 brushes. This is a batch of brushes that simulate graphite, charcoal, drybrush, marker and more.
As the name implies, there are many other series of brushes that you can get for free. I haven't explored them all, but there may be some cool ones among them as well.

It was great seeing everyone again. Also a sincere welcome to the new folks who attended. There was an astonishing amount of talent there. I hope to see you all there next time.

Out sick
Well not sick, but working on adding color to a black and white adaptation of Poe's "Masque of The Red Death" I did last year. Graphic Classics is republishing the stories and wanted color added to them.
This is my rough for the back cover and the first and last pages of the story. Trying to stay loose with the color to match the thematic mood of the line art.
