So, who is headed to the San Diego Comic Con?  The original San Diego TAG folks typically meet up on Sat. night to hang out together and catch up... Missed Again Buuuuttt.....

Sorry to have missed the meet up again but thought I would post a little something I worked the last day and a half.... I decided to build a custom brake for my inline skates and of course could not just make something plain. The pic is of the quick sculpt to be cast and refined but its 85% there. Aspects of all three drawings will be included in the final sculpt but the inspiration was mainly taken from the right hand drawing. Have a surprise I hope to unveil at the next TAG, which means I have to show up, cant wait to see what everyone came up with from last night. Thanks for any comments.

This is a wonderful little pencil sketch done for me in the copy of Emily Fiegenschuh's sketchbook that I bought from her last night.  Pretty nice drawing, eh?  I wish I had done it!

Some observations from last week

My warm up every morning before work routine.  These are from about 4 days worth.  I have more at the blog but didn't want to go TOO overboard.  Great stuff everyone, Seattle's got talent!

Sorry I missed TAG this week!

I didn't have the chance to post after my first visit to TAG last month, but I've been meaning to say I had a great time and enjoyed meeting many of you! Meeting so many talented artists in one spot was a very nice welcome to the Seattle area.
Unfortunately, some deadlines coming up next week kept me from attending on Tuesday. I hope to be back for the next get-together.
Much of what I've been working on lately is under a non-disclosure agreement, so in the meantime, I thought I'd share work from a recent personal project. This is the drawing to the cover of my newly printed sketchbook. It's a wraparound cover, which is why her cape is ridiculously long. I painted the final image with gouache, but there are some aspects of the drawing I like a little better.

Missed last night's TAG!
